“Stop met de Onzin”: The Airport Letter Still Unanswered
.jpg)
Look, this airport drama still got one big unanswered question: Why did the CEO of PJIA write that letter and sign his name to it? That’s not some rookie. He’s a professional man, used to dealing on a high level. So what exactly was told to him and his team that made them feel confident enough to issue such a serious letter?
Because right now, Minister Brug basically calling the CEO a liar. And let’s not forget, this isn’t just anybody. This is the CEO of the country’s most strategic asset. Are we supposed to believe he just woke up one morning and said, “𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵, 𝘐’𝘮 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘍𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘩 𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦”? Come on. Apparently his people sat with Brug and VSA, they walked away thinking they had clear instructions. That much is obvious.
And what about official minutes? On a meeting at that level, with stakes this big, are you telling me there’s no record? No notes? Nothing? That in itself is madness.
Instead, what we get is a Minister out here talking about “teen me.” Real childish. A serious Minister of Government should have called the CEO right away and put out a joint clarification. That’s what leadership looks like. Instead, chaos reigned all night and the next morning.
Check the timeline: the story was out before 7 p.m. Tuesday. Brug didn’t speak until around midday Wednesday. And even then, it wasn’t because he cared about the confusion. It was only after Emmanuel and others started calling his name. If you knew you did nothing wrong, why let the whole country boil in silence? You mean to tell me nobody in your office could drop a quick clarification? That’s what assistants are for.
Now his people online preaching “stand strong” and putting God in the middle of it. Please. As MP Meyers said: stop talking foolishness. Or in Dutch, 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘮𝘦𝘵 𝘥𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘻𝘪𝘯. And then, you are upset at your colleague Ministers? Why? They understand the have a duty to the people? You sat and saw your phone blowing up and waited til the next day, after knowing what it was about, only to say "'teen me"
Here’s the truth as plain as day: PJIA didn’t invent this. Somebody told them something wrong. The CEO should have double and triple-checked, no doubt, especially since he’s a guest in this country. But he didn’t pull that letter out of thin air. He got it from somewhere, and he thought he was following instruction.
And let’s not ignore the bigger picture. This isn’t the first time Brug’s name has been tied to moves that look like they’re targeting French nationals. People see it. It feels coordinated. And instead of dealing with that head on, the Minister spinning and ducking while shouting “teen me.”
Well, let’s be clear: the people of this country deserve straight answers. Somebody gave PJIA wrong information. The truth will come out. And when it does, no amount of spin or Sunday preaching will cover it up.
