TALLAHASSEE, Florida--Timar Simmon, a Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) student, is celebrating an exceptional milestone after graduating summa cum laude in Fall 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management.
Throughout her years in the program, Simmon proudly represented herself, Florida A&M University, and her country, St. Maarten, as the only student from St. Maarten enrolled during that time. Her presence brought international representation to the program and set a strong example for future students from St. Maarten through excellence, integrity, and positive leadership.
During her studies, she represented her institution and country through experiences at two major health care organizations, Mayo Clinic and HCA Healthcare, the largest health care system in the United States. These opportunities reflect her commitment to health care advancement and her role as an ambassador for her culture and community.
By maintaining the highest academic honors while carrying the responsibility of international representation, Simmon has established a legacy that honors St. Maarten, elevates FAMU, and inspires others to pursue excellence with pride in their roots.
