GREAT BAY--St. Maarten Little League is pleased to announce a special three-day St. Maarten Little League & Monroe University Development Camp for all high school baseball and softball players, teams, and coaches.
A collegiate coaching staff from Monroe University will visit the island to work directly with local players, offering a rare opportunity to receive instruction and evaluation from experienced college-level coaches.
The camp will focus on the following key objectives:
- Developing and improving baseball and softball skills, including position-specific instruction where possible
- Providing on-field game evaluation by the Monroe University coaching staff
- Teaching players what it takes to compete at the college level, including expectations regarding work ethic, discipline, and sportsmanship
- Offering, where possible, one-on-one interaction with Monroe University coaches so players can ask questions and receive individual feedback
All sessions will take place at the Erwin “Baco” Richardson Little League Stadium on the following dates and times:
The camp is an open invitation to all high school players, regardless of team or school affiliation. The emphasis is on both player development and exposure, giving young athletes a clearer understanding of what is required to pursue opportunities at the collegiate level.
St. Maarten Little League respectfully requests the full cooperation and support of all parents and guardians in encouraging their children to attend and participate. By ensuring players are present, on time, and prepared to give their best effort each day, parents help provide a valuable developmental and educational experience that can positively contribute to their baseball or softball future.
