GREAT BAY--The Rotary Club of St. Martin hosted its annual Reach 1 Feed 1 community service project on Sunday, October 26, 2025. In a display of compassion and teamwork, the club distributed over 400 hot meals to vulnerable individuals and families across the island.
The day began at 7:30 a.m. at the St. Dominic Primary School, where Rotarians, volunteers, and supporters gathered in unity to prepare, and package each meal with care. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, teamwork, and a shared sense of purpose as everyone worked hand in hand to ensure that no one was left behind.
The initiative was supported by Friends of Rotary, Leaders for Change, Swali’Tainment represented by Dutty Sham, Interactors from St. Dominic High School, and Department Head of the Department of Community Development, Family & Humanitarian Affairs. Together, these groups played an essential role in identifying and reaching families most in need.
Adding a special moment to the day, District Governor William Aiken of Rotary District 7020 joined the team to lend his support and encouragement, commending the club’s ongoing commitment to uplifting the community.
The distribution teams visited several districts, including A.T. Illidge Road, Nazareth, French Quarter, The Keys, Behind Melford Hazel, Behind Old Cake House, Cay Bay, St. James, and Agrément. Each stop was a reminder of the impact that small acts of kindness can have—turning simple meals into moments of hope and gratitude.
Club President Alex Pierre shared, “Reach 1 Feed 1 is one of our club’s most meaningful projects. It reminds us that even one meal can bring comfort and restore hope. Seeing the joy on people’s faces reinforces why we do what we do as Rotarians.”
Service Project Chair - Jamila Boirard expressed heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed, highlighting that it was the collective spirit of service and teamwork that made this year’s project an overwhelming success.
