GREAT BAY--The St. Maarten Tourism Bureau, in partnership with regional stakeholders, on Friday launched “4 Islands One Escape,” a bookable island-hopping experience that links St. Maarten, St. Martin, Saba, St. Eustatius, St. Kitts, and Nevis through the Makana Ferry Service and partner travel agents.

Aboard Makana, media representatives and key tourism stakeholders set off on a preview that showed how a single trip can connect multiple islands, cultures, and activities. The program packages stays, tours, and inter-island transport, so visitors can design a practical multi-stop itinerary that spreads nights and spending across the northern Leewards. Travelers choose a starting island, contact an approved agent, and reference “4 Islands One Escape” to access curated offers and multi-island savings.

Each island is presented with clear options, prices, and contacts. Saba leans into soft adventure and culture, with two-tank dives from about 150 dollars, snorkel trips from about 39 dollars, and guided Mt. Scenery hikes from about 100 dollars for up to four people. St. Eustatius targets hikers and divers, with single dives near 80 dollars, two-tank morning dives near 150 dollars, guided Quill hikes from about 120 to 200 dollars depending on route, and private sunset cruises starting around 450 dollars for small groups.

St. Kitts offers a wide menu, including historical tours and beach time around 65 dollars, rainforest walks near 60 dollars, volcano hikes near 90 dollars, full-day catamaran sails with a Nevis stop near 130 dollars, and the scenic railway near 117 dollars. St. Maarten and St. Martin anchor the circuit with city, beach, and water activities, supported by a range of hotels and local operators that can be combined with the ferry timetable. Nevis sits a short sea ride from St. Kitts and adds quiet beaches, heritage sites, and creative arts experiences.

The partners behind the program frame it as a regional push to make multi-island travel simpler. By routing bookings through vetted agents, the offering keeps logistics in one place, reduces friction for buyers, and helps visitors move easily between islands by sea. For the destinations, it strengthens partnerships, supports small operators, and encourages longer stays across borders. The launch showed a workable expression of One Caribbean, many islands, and one trip.

Today’s travelers crave immersive, flexible, and personalized experiences. "4 Islands One Escape" delivers just that, unlocking the excitement of island-hopping while combining the unique offerings of each destination. By uniting strengths, the islands diversify their tourism products, extend visitor stays, and stimulate local economies.

“This initiative is proof of what’s possible when we move beyond borders,” said representatives of the various tourism boards. “By working together as one Caribbean family, we not only enhance the visitor experience but also strengthen the ties that bind our islands together.”

*A Blueprint for the Future*

The initiative is expected to:

● Offer multi-destination travel experiences

● Boost regional visitor numbers

● Encourage longer stays

● Drive local economic impact

● Showcase the power of Caribbean collaboration!

The official platform, www.makanaescape.com, is now live, offering travelers everything they need to plan their journey across the islands, with more adventures to come.

Furthermore, this partnership is proudly supported by The Vacation Connection, the designated Trinidad-based travel agency, which is carefully curating a series of affordable travel packages across the participating destinations. Therefore, "4 Islands - One Escape" is being promoted within each destination, and also, throughout the Caribbean and to global audiences, showcasing the Caribbean’s diversity, connectivity and extensive reach by unifying forces. Through this unique, comprehensive collaboration, we aim to redefine intra-regional travel while enriching and enhancing our collective tourism offerings.

Here is to 4 Islands, One Escape, and a united vision for regional tourism built on short hops, shared service, and memorable days on the water.
