June 12, 2025

GREAT BAY--As the 2024–2025 academic year draws to a close, Member of Parliament Sjamira Roseburg has shared an inspiring message directed to all students across St. Martin, offering encouragement, congratulations, and unwavering support for every stage of their educational journey.

“Whether you just completed exams, are moving to a new school, or reached a personal milestone, this message is for you,” MP Roseburg stated, taking time to recognize students of all outcomes and academic paths.

To those who passed their exams, she extended heartfelt congratulations: “Félicitations! Your dedication, long nights, and focus have paid off. Enjoy this moment, you’ve earned it!”

For those preparing for retakes, her message was one of resilience: “Don’t give up. You’ve got this. A retake doesn’t mean failure. It means you get one more chance to show your strength.”

Acknowledging students who didn’t pass this year, MP Roseburg reminded them that setbacks do not define their worth or future: “We understand the disappointment, but this one moment does not define you. Some of the greatest successes are born from setbacks.”

She also welcomed students entering high school, encouraging them to embrace the journey ahead: “This is a big step, and we’re proud of you. Stay curious, stay focused, and enjoy the ride.”

MP Roseburg offered special recognition to graduates of vocational and non-traditional programs: “We salute you. Your achievements deserve just as much recognition. Your discipline and passion will carry you far in life.”

Her message concluded with an island-wide tribute to youth: “To all students of St. Martin: we see your efforts, your courage, your dreams. Whatever your result, whatever your path, your future is bright. Your island is proud of you. Keep rising. Keep dreaming, believing and achieving! The best is yet to come.”
