GREAT BAY--St. Maarten's bodybuilding talent Calvin Mardembrough Jr. took home top honors at the prestigious NPC Dexter Jackson Classic, securing first place in both the Men’s Physique Open Class B and the Men’s Physique 35+ category. The event, held on Saturday in Jacksonville, Florida, attracted a competitive field of athletes and spectators from across the region.
Mardembrough’s outstanding physique and confident stage presence stood out among the contenders, earning praise from both judges and fans.After four months of intense preparation, Calvin made the journey to Jacksonville alongside his father. Reflecting on his performance, he expressed gratitude for those who have supported him along the way.

A highlight of the weekend for Calvin was meeting Jackson himself, the 2008 Mr. Olympia, who offered valuable advice on longevity and success in the sport.Looking ahead, Calvin plans to compete in two additional international bodybuilding competitions before the end of the year. With discipline, passion, and a growing list of accolades, he continues to push boundaries and inspire other young athletes to pursue the sport.
